About Evergreen Lodge Family Resort

Evergreen Lodge is a family housekeeping resort located on the west end of Big Sand Lake. We are 2 miles east of the Highway 71 and Highway 34 stoplight in Park Rapids, then 5miles north on County Road 4 commonly known as the Lake George Road.

Evergreen has 18 lakeside cabins on 1,000 feet of sand beach. A 9.9hp or 15hp motor with a 14 foot Lund boat may be rented for the week or the day. A 14-foot Lund boat is available for rent if you are bringing your own motor. A cement boat ramp is available for guest use only. Tractor service is also available if needed. Each cabin has dock space for one boat, either yours or ours. There is no charge for use of canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards. Pontoon rental is offered on an hourly basis. Our exceptional beach and clear clean lake are our main attraction!

Several playsets are located along the lakefront. Our activity field includes a pirate ship, a castle, and a hobbit house, plus a soccer, volleyball and baseball area. We also have shuffleboard, tennis, pickleball, basketball, ping pong, foosball, frisbee golf, and soccer golf.

Our rustic lodge with fireplace houses our office, store, rec room, book nook, and visiting areas. The store sells pop, candy, ice cream treats, postcards, sweatshirts, and gas for boats. We do not have food service or bait. WIFI is available in all cabins and in the lodge. Our cabins all have air conditioning but no TV. We also have handicap accessible cabins.

 

Evergreen Lodge is very much a family vacation resort and NOT a party place. While there is much to do and enjoy in our peaceful pine setting nothing is organized or scheduled. You set the schedule and the pace. In order to ensure a peaceful pine setting, we do not allow pets, ATVs, or jet skis. In consideration of others we request quiet time between 11:00pm and 9:00am. We do not have camping facilities, trailer sites, public boat rental or launching.  All facilities are for guest use only.
